This 8-day Kenya safari and beach holiday creates a natural journey from Nairobi through two of southern Kenya's most famous wildlife destinations before reaching the Indian Ocean.

Begin in Amboseli National Park, celebrated for its elephants and spectacular setting beneath Mount Kilimanjaro. Continue east into the immense landscapes of Tsavo East, where red earth, open wilderness and wildlife create a completely different safari atmosphere.

From Tsavo East, your journey naturally continues toward Kenya's coast. Arrive in Diani Beach and exchange safari drives for white sand, palm trees and several relaxing days beside the warm Indian Ocean.

8-Day Safari & Beach Itinerary

 

This itinerary balances three safari nights with four nights on the coast. The programme can be adjusted around your travel dates, preferred lodges, beach hotel and interests.

Day 01

Nairobi → Amboseli National Park

Meet your professional safari driver-guide in Nairobi and depart in your private 4x4 Safari Land Cruiser for Amboseli National Park.

As you travel south, the landscapes gradually open toward Kilimanjaro country. Arrive at your selected lodge or tented camp and begin your Amboseli safari according to your arrival time and confirmed programme.

Day 02

Full-Day Amboseli National Park Safari

Enjoy a full day exploring Amboseli in your private safari vehicle. Search the plains, wetlands and woodland areas for elephants, lions, buffalo, giraffes, zebras and other wildlife.

Amboseli is especially celebrated for its elephant herds and its views toward Mount Kilimanjaro when weather conditions are favourable.

Because your safari is private, the day's game drives can be paced around your interests and the wildlife activity.

Day 03

Amboseli → Tsavo East National Park

After breakfast, leave Amboseli and continue toward Tsavo East National Park, entering another of Kenya's great wilderness areas.

Tsavo East offers a striking contrast to Amboseli. Its vast landscapes, red soils and expansive horizons are synonymous with the classic Tsavo safari experience.

Enjoy wildlife viewing according to your arrival time before continuing to your selected lodge or safari camp.

Day 04

Tsavo East Safari → Diani Beach

Begin the day in the African wilderness with further wildlife viewing as you make your way through Tsavo East.

After completing the safari portion of your journey, continue toward Kenya's Indian Ocean coast. Arrive in Diani Beach and transfer to your selected beach resort or hotel.

The transition is one of the highlights of this itinerary: in a single day, the red-earth wilderness gives way to palm trees, white sand and the Indian Ocean.

Diani Beach — Full Day at Leisure
