Begin in northern Kenya at Samburu before continuing through Ol Pejeta Conservancy and the Great Rift Valley landscapes of Lake Naivasha and Lake Nakuru.

You then spend three nights in the Masai Mara, providing two complete days for game viewing before travelling south to Amboseli and the landscapes beneath Mount Kilimanjaro.

Nairobi → Samburu

Meet your professional driver-guide in Nairobi and begin your private journey north toward Samburu in a 4x4 Safari Land Cruiser.

Travel through Kenya's central highlands as the landscape gradually changes toward the semi-arid wilderness of northern Kenya.

Arrive at your selected lodge or tented camp and enjoy your first wildlife experience depending on arrival time.

Day 02

Full-Day Samburu Safari

Spend a complete day exploring Samburu with your private driver-guide.

Search for elephants, lions and leopards as well as northern Kenya species such as Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, Beisa oryx and Somali ostrich.

Your private vehicle allows the day's game viewing to be adapted around wildlife activity and your interests.

Day 03

Samburu → Ol Pejeta Conservancy

After breakfast, leave Samburu and travel south toward Laikipia and Ol Pejeta Conservancy.

Ol Pejeta → Lake Naivasha

Enjoy breakfast before travelling toward the Great Rift Valley and Lake Naivasha.

Day 05

Lake Naivasha → Lake Nakuru National Park

Continue through the Great Rift Valley toward Lake Nakuru National Park.

Three Nights in the Masai Mara

One of the most important differences between this 16-day journey and shorter itineraries is that we do not use the additional time simply to add another destination.

Three nights in the Masai Mara provide two complete days for game viewing. This creates more flexibility for wildlife photography, predator sightings and exploring different areas of the ecosystem.

During the Great Migration season, additional time can also be especially valuable because wildlife movements and river activity cannot be scheduled around a short visit.
